Welcome to our new space. Some of you have not yet had a chance to visit. So I would love to show you around. The classroom is set up today for a parent-toddler class for children from 16 months to 3 years. We are lucky to have a lot of light in this space and some gorgeous original features which give it a cosy feel. I chose a rug in this room that you might find in a home, lots of plants, soft curtains and cushions for parents to sit on. Visiting local Montessori schools in Portland
It was so fun to visit 3 Montessori schools in Portland during the 2013 Montessori Congress – West Hills Montessori School, Sunstone Montessori School and Childpeace Montessori School. They each had a unique feel: West Hills with its own children’s garden and beautifully maintained materials; Sunstone in a more traditional school building with lots of light; and Childpeace located in a more urban setting, transforms a warehouse into a cosy, modern Montessori school.
