Which course should I follow? – The Montessori Notebook

1. I’m completely new to the Montessori approach

Suggested course: Introduction to Montessori, 1.5 hour online workshop + Q&A, US$10

This is the place to start if you would like:
* a general overview of the Montessori approach
* how it works in practice, and
* answers to common questions like whether it would work for your child
* for any age child

2. I want to set up my home in a Montessori way

Suggested course: Setting up your home Montessori-style, 4 week e-course, US$49

What you’ll get:
* room-by-room ideas to set up your home to get rid of the clutter and create an engaging environment for your child
* receive a lesson every few days over the 4 weeks to help you set up your home in a Montessori way
* lessons apply to any age child from 0 years up to around 6 years
* you can also join a Facebook group to get support and feedback from others about your spaces

3. I want to know how to apply Montessori with my toddler

Suggested course: Montessori for Toddlers. 2 hour online workshop + Q&A, US$29

This would be the course to follow:
* if your child is around 12+ months up to 3 years old – feel free to follow this course earlier to be prepared for the toddler years
* to know which Montessori activities would be best at each stage for your toddler
* to get tips for setting up your home for this age group, and
* how to get cooperation from your toddler

4. I am pregnant, have a newborn, or a baby up to 6 months old

Suggested course: Montessori for Babies. 2 hour online workshop + Q&A, US$29

This course will help you:
* prepare for your baby and set up their room to meet their needs
* understand what is important in the first 6 months and what to expect up to 1 year old
* how to lay a rich foundation for your baby’s communication and movement
* we also cover eating, sleeping, and baby’s rhythms

5. My child won’t listen to me and/or I’m having trouble being a calm parent

Suggested course: Applying the “How to Talk So Kids will Listen” approach. 2 hour online workshop + Q&A, US$29

You’ll learn:
* exactly how I get cooperation with the children in my class and how you can apply this at home
* how to understand what is going on for your child and how to respond in a positive way
* alternatives to time out and punishment that we use in a Montessori approach
* how to deal with your child’s tantrums
* for young children up to around 6 years old – it’s never too early to start with this approach, the earlier you start the better

6. My children are fighting all the time

Suggested course: Raising peaceful siblings, 2 hour online workshop + Q&A, US$29

I put this course together for parents who find the principles hard to put into practice with more than one child. We’ll look at:
* how to deal with your children fighting in a more peaceful way
* avoiding sibling rivalry
* tips for getting ready for a new sibling
* and more…

7. I want to start my own Montessori playgroup

Suggested course: Setting up a Montessori playgroup, 2 week bootcamp, US$399

This course will show you everything I’ve learned from running my own Montessori playgroup for 10+ years. We’ll look at:
* how to get started
* what materials you’ll need
* tips to find a great location
* how to spread the word
* examples of materials to use with parents
* an example of a budget to guide you
* and the work you need to do on yourself to be able to help parents
